Also in the application there is information about tour agencies and hotels offering their services in the selected city.In 1967, the art critic Yuri Bychkov, on the instructions of the newspaper "Soviet Culture", went on his "Moskvich" to the cities of the Vladimir region to write a series of articles about the trip. In the end, he decided not to return along the same path, but to pass through Yaroslavl, thus enclosing his route in a ring. A series of his travel notes was published under the title "Golden Ring". This is how the famous route from 8 cities appeared: Sergiev Posad - Pereslavl-Zalessky - Rostov the Great - Yaroslavl - Kostroma - Ivanovo - Suzdal - Vladimir.Traditionally, the Golden Ring included 8 cities: Sergiev Posad, Rostov the Great, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Vladimir. In 2018, Uglich was officially included in the route.Many cities also dreamed of getting into it, Tula, Kaluga, Tarusa and Borovsk most of all claimed. But Rostourism decided to announce the new composition of the route, and even some cooperation agreements have already been signed.The new route - the Big Golden Ring - includes eight more cities near Moscow: Kolomna, Zaraysk, Kashira, Yegorievsk, Voskresensk, Ruza, Volokolamsk and Podolsk. It will also include Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan, Tver and Gus-Khrustalny.
